Save Scumming and Duplication : Now, save scumming is simply saving before you do something and then reloading if you don't get the proper result. Outside of one magic weapon we'll use early on, I don't bother with it. Melee is my preferred method for regular enemies, and generally speaking ranged is the best way to deal with bosses. This is the main reason you need better armor, as more defense allows you to survive stronger bosses. So if you have 20 defense, you reduce damage from attacks by 10. Your defense reduces damage done by half of your defense. They seem pretty common too, so it shouldn't be too hard to get your hands on one.Ĭombat : Combat in this game is fairly simple. Once you get one it'll basically never leave your inventory all game. These are both very useful, though obviously the magic mirror is better. A recall potion returns you to your original spawn (AKA where you'll put your house) and a magic mirror gives you unlimited returns to spawn. Something you should keep an eye out for are recall potions and a magic mirror. All chests contents are random and decided at world spawn, so don't bother trying to save scum. You can store about 1000 stacks of items, so go ahead and store just about everything you find, as you'll need most of it at one point or another. The chest isn't moveable once an item is in it, so barring some unknown bug, your items will be safe. You can then take this to your house and place it, and use it to store stuff. Once you empty a chest, you can use your pickax to turn it into an item you can carry. Items : Keep just about everything you find. You can also "hold" these items by highlighting them in your action bar for light as you move around. The main benefit of glow sticks is that they work even in water, torches obviously won't. However glowsticks sit on the ground and go out eventually, but can be thrown down passageways and the like to see what's ahead. You can also find glowsticks from jellyfish enemies and chests, and these work as well. You can place it on the floor or on a wall where it will stay forever. Vision : While you're exploring, you'll find your vision radius is garbage underground. That link just above shows you what they look like on the map. Iron ore, for example, almost perfectly blends in with dirt blocks. In practice a lot of ore has a color that's very close to the color of something else or another ore, so it can be a bit annoying finding certain ores. In the console version of Terraria, ores are shown on the map with colors, so they are hypothetically easy to find. This means unlocking new kinds of ore, either by beating bosses or doing something in the world to spawn it. Progression : As I briefly mentioned on page 1, your main objective is making better and better armor and tools out of ores. initial release (still compatible with Terraria 1.3.5.Alright, now that we know the basics, let's talk about some other stuff. Special thanks to Binar圜onstruct and YellowAfterlife! Included are copies of my custom characters. Background walls block all Enemy NPC spawns, so you can browse, shop, and craft in peace! The first post of the linked forum has the index file, which has a list of the items and what world(s) it is in.Īll 29 Town NPCs are present, as is all crafting stations. It does, however, have things like Red Potion and the completly useless Boring Bow! These worlds do _not_ contain anything else that dissapears on world load. (The "spare" paintings, statues, and banners, are a bit different, but not much.) With so many items, even mounting examples will not avoid all confusion, so in the asociated forum posting will be an attached index listing. Everything has at least one full chest, and in many cases, 25 (twenty five) full chests! For example, want some Luminite Bullets? How about 999,000! Each chest has a mounted example of what is in that chest, so you can literaly see what is in it without opening it. Hi Everybody! Welcome to my item maps!! Within these 32 maps (16 classic, 16 journey) is all 5056 (four thousand nine hundred and fifty six) Terraria 1.4.2.3 items that can be in a chest at world load.
